Fireball - PCGS MS65+ Ex. Aurora Borealis, Lloyd Cowle, Bryan Sonnier - “Textile Fire” 

This remarkable coins displays extremely rare fiery orange and pink colors atop beautifully struck and lustrous surfaces, quite difficult to find on an O mint Morgan such as this. The entire portrait of Liberty is enveloped with textile toning from the mint bag that this beautiful coin sat against. It is extremely difficult for fireball colors like this to develop because of the specific level of humidity that is required, making this one of the rarest types of toning to exist. This coin not only is a rare specimen of fireball toning, but it also has a great provenance of past owners, namely Aurora Borealis, Lloyd Cowle, and Brian Sonnier. At one time or another, each of these collectors had one of the finest sets of toned Morgans ever assembled, and being so unique this coin made in into all three!
